Autohaus European commenced operation in September 1998 offering a motor mechanical repair service specialising in European vehicles. Initially the business operated on a mobile-mechanical basis and is owned and run by the two Directors, Auric and Lisa Mirfin.
It now operates from purpose-built commercial premises in Snells Beach, five minutes drive from Warkworth township. The Autohaus team consists of 8 staff members - 4 fully qualified European Vehicle trained technicians, one Parts Manager, one Workshop Assistant and two office staff.

Auric
& Lisa Mirfin
Owner/Operators
Auric started his mechanical
apprenticeship at his father’s VW workshop in 1983
and completed his apprenticeship at Giltrap European in
Auckland. He also worked for Continental Car Services in Newmarket before moving to London, where he managed a European vehicle repair garage for five years.
On his return to New Zealand in February 1998 he worked
for Bill Tapper European until he started up Autohaus European Ltd in September 1998.
Having worked on European vehicles for over 20 years, Auric has gained valuable contacts in the main European vehicle dealerships. He brought a large amount of specialist service tools back from Europe and also has working contacts there. Auric continues to add to his portfolio by regularly enhancing his knowledge and skill base. All of this adds to the overall service provided by Autohaus European.
Paul Brooksmith
Parts Manager/Service Technician
Paul has been
a mechanic for over 15 years working in various Auckland
European garages, and for six years prior to joining Autohaus
European in 2004 he worked solely in the spare parts industry.
Adrian Sutton
Senior Service Technician
Adrian joined
us in 2005 with 16 years automotive servicing history,
11 of these being with specialist European garages including
BMW, Volvo and Audi. He also gained vast experience whilst
in the UK working on various European branded vehicles.
Nishantha Siriwardana
Service Technician
Nish joined Autohaus European in September 2008 with 10 years of Automotive Servicing experience, specialising in Mercedes Benz in dealerships in the United Arab Emirates and Sri Lanka.
Pujitha Fernando
Service Technician
“Fernando” joined Autohaus European in December 2008 with 16 years Automotive Servicing experience as a senior Mercedes Benz technician in the United Arab Emirates for Daimbler Benz and in Sri Lanka.
Greg Rawlinson
Maintenance Support
Greg has lived in the Snells Beach area for 22 years and joined Autohaus European in January 2009. Greg’s role incorporates all aspects of maintenance and support to Auric and the Autohaus team.
Kim Stanbra
Office Administrator
Kim joined Autohaus European in February 2009 with a strong Administrative background. She enjoys sharing the office with Lisa and the busy and diverse nature of the Automotive Industry.
